Higher Ground Fitness is a female founded and operated fitness studio that believes in creating a positive escape in a 45-minute muscle quivering workout. We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable people to join our HGF instructor team! Our team is made up of outgoing and professional go-getters who are passionate about the fitness and wellness industry. Our training program will teach you everything you need to know about the HGF method, the machine and how to lead a high-energy class that will leave clients shaking and sweating!

All Higher Ground Fitness instructors must undergo our comprehensive training program. During training our team is dedicated to the success of each trainee. Our training groups are small as well as highly selective, allowing for individualized support aiding in each instructor's success. We are ideally looking for instructors who have previous experience instructing fitness classes but are willing to make exceptions. Attending the New Instructor Intensive IN FULL is a requirement for all trainees regardless of your fitness certification status.


  • Builds a positive community within the studio and their own classes! This includes engaging with clients in-studio and social media.
  • Embodying the HGF brand. Encouraging a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Availability to teach a minimum of 3 classes/week
  • Attending at least TWO staff meetings and additional training opportunities per year
  • Availability to instruct sessions on at least TWO holidays per year: One Winter (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's); One Summer (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day)
  • Weekend availability preferred
  • Prior group fitness experience is a plus but not required

Photographer/Videographer Marketing Intern

We’re looking for someone to help us highlight the heart and grit in our community and instructor team.

The Photographer/Videographer Marketing Intern will execute the creation of short form video content. We need someone who can hit the ground running and start contributing in class footage, before/after class footage, team BTS, community events, etc.  This person must have experience in creating and editing video content using Instagram, TikTok, and video editing software.

Job Description

The Photographer/Videographer Marketing Intern will assist with the photo and video creative needs of Higher Ground Fitness through planning, executing, and collaborating with our Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Specialist. The Photographer/Videographer Marketing Intern will capture, edit, and deliver photos and videos to support HGF’s digital marketing material.


  • Work with the marketing team to promote HGF services (classes, private classes, small group private sessions, private session) and special events through photos and videos
  • Meet with Digital Marketing Specialist weekly to understand upcoming needs
  • Capture engaging photos and videos during organized content class sessions, before/after class, team behind the scenes, community events,etc.
  • Develop a photo and video library for digital content
  • Assist with ideating and curating social media content for events, campaigns, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
  • Stay up to date and suggest relevant trends from various social media channels
  • Provide 4 short form videos per week. (16-20 per month)
  • Provide 4 still shots per week (16 per month)
  • This is a hybrid role that will require being in the studio at least twice per week.


  • Must already have access to the equipment you’re planning to use
  • Experience in short form edits and storytelling
  • Proficiency in Instagram and Tiktok platforms, trends and editing best practices
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to turn over a small number of quick edits on photos and video during an event
  • Works well in a team setting and independently
  • Thinks creatively and is highly organized and motivated
  • Experience in fitness shooting is a plus but not required
